Nestled back a long lane with a beautiful bank barn and sycamore tree is Dusty Acres Homestead. This venue means a lot to me as it’s my best friends childhood home that we all spent so much time at growing up! I have shot a wedding here before, but this year is different because it will be the last year Dusty Acres will be open. I was lucky enough to not capture just one wedding, but two here this year!

Cheyenne and Landon had the most beautiful day in May; it felt like it was mid-summer! The beautiful blue sky was covered in clouds with just the perfect amount of sun so we weren’t all sweating terribly.

I started off the day walking into the bridal suite to a beautiful, smiling Cheyenne getting her hair done and her excitement was immediately infectious!

After capturing her beautiful details (my favorite part being her blue shoes), we had their first look which I knew she was very excited about! She was nervous about the rest of the day and she knew he would immediately make her calm and lift a weight off her shoulders once she saw him- and it did! First looks have become one of my favorite parts of wedding days!

Their ceremony was held under the vast sycamore tree under their homemade arch that was so whimsical, and to our luck, not a single cicada flew by or was to be heard during the ceremony! This was an ongoing worry the whole week leading up to the big day; I’m so glad those loud bugs weren’t even the slightest problem!

After the ceremony we rode back to the secluded woods and took the most gorgeous portraits. The sun was peeping through the trees and it made it so dreamy!
