Kate and George | Downtown Cincinnati Wedding | 11.27.21 | Kayla Bertke photography & design

The day started on the south side of the Ohio River for Kate and George, in the gorgeous Marriott hotel in the most spacious getting ready suite I have ever seen! It was the perfect amount of space for Kate and her seven bridesmaids to get ready. As soon as I entered the vast room, I was immediately welcomed with smiles from all the girls and even though Kate couldn’t see me (due to her eyelashes being glued on) she was grinning ear to ear! I started capturing her details shortly after while all the girls continued to get their final touches of hair and makeup finished.

After getting Kate into her gorgeous gown she wanted to have a first look with all her girls. We lined up all the girls downstairs and once Kate entered the room, we had the bridesmaids uncover their eyes and their reactions say it all! You could feel the joy and love these girls had for their bride and it was such a fun moment to capture.

We headed down to George's room next to capture some of him getting ready as well. The guys were relaxing while watching the Ohio State vs. Michigan game and I stole George for a few portraits out on the balcony. Following that, we took him down by the river to set him up for the first look with Kate. These two shared an intimate first look where they read letters to one another and had a few quiet moments before the majority of the day got started.

We headed down the road to a little park located right on the river where we were able to capture some more beautiful portraits along the quiet brick streets. For it being late November, we lucked out with the weather and we were able to capture all the portraits we needed prior to their intimate ceremony.

Kate and George: Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your day! I truly loved getting to see and listen to all the happiness your friends and family have for you two. I wish you guys a lifetime of happiness!
