Taylor and Perry | Pickwick Place Wedding | 12.11.21 | Kayla Bertke photography & design
I couldn't have asked for a better couple than Taylor and Perry to finish my 2021 season with. I photographed Taylor's brother TJ's wedding this past September, so we have been together a lot this year. Paired with their easygoing personalities, it made their big day so fun and perfect!
We started out the chilly windy day by capturing all the pretty details. Perry is an animator so you will see the graphic he made of him and Taylor for part of the invitation suite! Another unique thing these two had were their wedding rings; Taylor's being a beautiful blue stone and Perry's being made from the bones of dinosaurs, how neat!
After capturing the details, it was time to get ready for the first look. Little did Perry know, but one of his groomsmen bought a wedding dress to prank Perry at his first look. Taylor informed me of this plan months ago at their engagement session so I was looking forward to seeing what dress he had found. I was not disappointed in the dress and he completed the look with a veil as well! The reaction Perry had was priceless and it was fun for everyone watching. After we gave Perry a chance to recuperate, it was time for the real first look with his bride-to-be and it was oh so precious! It was so sweet to see these two see each other for the first time that day and Perry gifted Taylor such a pretty necklace as well.
Inside the venue, decorations were like an English garden with greenery, lights and candles everywhere. It was so beautiful and romantic. Once Taylor walked down the aisle, we turned the lights off so that only this adorable couple was lit and with all the lights and candles it was so unique and fun!
Taylor and Perry: Thank you so much for choosing me to capture your big day! You guys were so easy to work with and I am so happy to be able to give these images to you to cherish for years to come!
