Christina & Jake | Brookshire Wedding | 11.20.21 | Kayla Bertke photography & design

I had so much fun capturing Christina and Jake's big day! From the moment I met these two at their engagement session, I knew they were going to be easy to capture because of how easygoing they are. Their wedding day was no different.

I started the morning being greeted by a smiley Christina and her wonderful bridal party who immediately helped by giving me all the details to capture.

When Jake arrived at the venue he was the best sport and made sure to stay hidden in his suite while I took Christina's dress back and forth to her room and the altar. We didn’t want to chance him seeing the dress!

Christina wanted to share a first look with her father, which is quickly becoming a beautiful moment that I look forward to capturing at each wedding. Her dad's reaction to seeing his only daughter in her dress was so beautiful. I think it's so worth having a special moment set aside to include this.

Next up was Christina and Jake's first look. These two don't love being at the center of attention (with all eyes on them) and I can relate! Therefore, I made sure that I was far enough away to still capture amazing images but to also give them privacy to share a private moment and read their letters. Once they gave me the go ahead, we started my favorite part of the day, bride and groom portraits! These two were champs out in the chilly air and didn't complain one time. With only one break in the middle, we were able to capture almost all the photos before the ceremony so that these two could enjoy cocktail hour with their friends and family!

Directly following their ceremony we went out to the fields for a few minutes to get those sunset photos and then it was time to party the night away. They had lots of glow sticks and fun light up sunglasses and accessories for their guests to have a blast on the dance floor and we ended the night with a perfect sparkler exit!

Christina and Jake: Thank you for choosing me to be a big part of your big day! It was truly an honor to capture these moments for you and I am so happy to be able to give you these to cherish for years to come!
