Kayleigh & Josh | Lostcreek Memory Barn Wedding | 10.24.21 | Kayla Bertke photography & design

Kayleigh and Josh had such a special day and I loved how they made their day unique to them. Despite the weather and having to change the location of their ceremony to inside, smiles never left their faces! From the moment I greeted them, Kayleigh and Josh were so happy and I could tell they just couldn't wait to see one another!

As I drove down the long drive to the grounds of Lostcreek Memory Barn I saw that the trees were in full fall colors and the whole venue was breathtakingly beautiful. When I entered the house where the “getting ready” rooms were, I was greeted by a group of smiling women and a vintage room with very neat furniture and decorations. After grabbing all of Kayleigh’s details, I made my way across the hall to say hello to the groom. I was again greeted by a smiling Josh as I asked to borrow his shoes and snap some detail photos.

We decided to have their first look under the porch of the white bank barn where these two could have a private moment to read their letters to one another. After Josh saw his soon-to-be wife for the first time, you could sense the happy relief. Watching them share their letters with one another was a beautiful moment to capture.

This was the first Jewish ceremony I had been a part of as a photographer, so it was very intriguing to listen to the traditional vows in both languages and see the traditional breaking of the glass once their marriage was official.

These two wanted their day to be focused on family and friends and getting to spend the most time with their guests, so they waited to share their first dance as a married couple until the very end so they could share it alone. I loved how beautiful this was; it's always fun to see the unique things that each couple does on their wedding day.

Kayleigh and Josh: Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your big day! Thanks for tackling the rain with me to get those beautiful shots under the trees. I wish you guys a life full of happiness in your new adventure!
