Snow Maternity session | Kate & John | Dusty Acres Homestead | Kayla Bertke photography & design

Updated: May 4, 2020

When Kate told me she was pregnant with her second little one, I was immediately brainstorming ideas for a session with her. I talked her into getting a long, flowing gown so we could take photos in the water. Kate was up for anything and I couldn't wait to see what I had pictured in my mind come to life!

We had Kate and John's maternity session originally scheduled in October of 2018, but the timing just didn't seem quite right. As time went on and the temperatures dropped, we knew we wouldn't be heading into the water before baby number two arrived. Snow became our next goal! They were determined to get some snowy memories and even though Kate was 36 weeks pregnant by the time our first good snowfall came, she and I were both glad we waited. Keep scrolling to see these two gorgeous parents and how they absolutely nailed their session, from their outfits to the location!

Kate and John: Thank you for dressing to the nines and being troopers in the snow! I'm so glad you did because they turned out beautiful. I can't wait to meet Peyton's new sibling!
