There are parts of each wedding that always stick out to me and ones I will always remember. This wedding, specifically the groom's vows, was something out of a storybook.
The day started wonderfully at the beautiful Monastery church in downtown Cincinnati. I walked into the church and was immediately in awe of its beauty. The high ceilings with gorgeous chandeliers - what's not to like! I shortly after found a smiling Leighann working on some of her last minute handmade details which were found throughout her day. Her day was inspired by florals and a rustic vibe, which went well with their venue choice.
The first look was beautiful! I led an anxious Joe out into the Monastery courtyard where I set him up to be met by his bride-to-be. It went so smoothly and we were able to capture all of the portraits before a little rain cloud came upon us.
Soon family and friends started to arrive and it was time to get these two married! Everything was beautiful and after Leighann's sweet vows, a teary eyed Joe was up next. He started reading his notes and then the next thing we knew, the speakers were playing and it was Joe's voice. Joe had written his vows the very night he knew he wanted to marry Leighann, two years prior!! After she left one evening Joe stayed up and recorded into his phone his vows to his future wife. Talk about heart melting!! Let's just say there were a lot of teary eyes around, myself included, and it will be a sweet moment I will not soon forget.
After their ceremony, we explored around the grounds of the Monastery and the cute little side streets of Cincinnati for their portraits. It was the perfect ending to their beautiful day that I am so honored to have been a part of. Leighann and Joe: Thank you for allowing me to capture this day for you and I wish you guys a lifetime full of happiness! Joe - keep up the adorable surprises!
